If you love gardens then this is the place to visit, which is local to us at 6 The Green. Within 5 minutes drive from us and you could also walk along the foot path, which takes you along the River Lark. Fullers Mill Garden is an enchanting and tranquil waterside and woodland garden, situated on the banks of the River Lark at West Stow in Suffolk. It combines a beautiful site of light dappled woodland with a fabulous collection of rare and unusual shrubs, perennials, lilies and marginal plants, collected over the course of 50 years by the creator of the garden Bernard Tickner. In 2013 the late Bernard Tickner, MBE gifted the garden to Perennial, the only UK charity dedicated to helping all those who work in or are retired from horticulture, in times of need. Head Gardener Annie Dellbridge and her team of gardeners and volunteers now maintain the garden for the enjoyment of visitors from April to October. 2022 Opening Times Open Friday 1 April to Sunday 30 October. Fullers Mill Garden is a beautiful woodland garden within easy walking distance from our glamping site. The gardens, open from April to September, are located on the calm banks of the River Lark, adjacent to the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village in Suffolk. Created over 50 years ago, Fullers Mill Garden is now operated by the Perennial charity and is maintained by a team of dedicated volunteers and gardeners. The site is home to six gardens (one private), each with distinctive botanical species.
