The Marktgasse is one of the streets in the Old City of Bern, & Start Point to 6 kilometres (4 miles) of Arcades, the Old Town Boasts which is one of the Longest covered Shopping Promenades in Europe.

Under the arcades of the Old City' main road (ten minutes walk from home, or one tram stop) there are dozens of shops, including two big supermarkets.
