Osaka Tenmangu is famous for its festival, the Tenjin Matsuri, which is held annually on July 24 and 25 and is ranked as one of Japan's top 3 festivals besides Gion Matsuri and Kanda Matsuri.

Osaka Tenmangu Shrine warships Sugawarano Mitizane - the god of study. So a lot of students visit this shrine before big exam. Every July, Tenjin Matsuri Festival, one of the Big Three festivals of Japan is held in this shrine. Tenmangu Shrine is located near Tenjinbashi suji shopping arcade, so if you visit this shrine, you also can enjoy shopping in the longest shopping arcade in Japan!
