Primitive hiking trails meander past the river-side bottomlands, limestone bluffs, and rolling hills of Shaffer Bend Recreation Area, a more than 500-acre natural area 10 miles east of Marble Falls. Along with its trails, Shaffer Bend is an idyllic environment for horseback riding, and mountain biking.
