The so-called intermediate wall separated the acropolis from the Ano Poli (upper town). If you walk along the wall to the northeast, you come to the Anna Paläologina Gate (1355-1356), which once led to the areas outside the wall. The intermediate wall ends in a north-easterly direction at the Alysseos Tower, also known as the Trigonion Tower. This is a round tower that was erected in the 15th century and incorporates an older rectangular tower that was part of the Byzantine fortifications. Μνημειο του 15ου αιώνα.
