Once a borough of five-and-dime shops connected to a trolley line along Pearl Street, Platt Park has transformed into a popular destination that still retains its original charm. The area pays homage to its storied past with a throng of trendy shops and restaurants that have taken residence in the historic buildings along Pearl. Here you can still see the last remaining vestiges of the area’s trolley tracks peeking through the asphalt, and savor local flavor amidst exposed bricks and beams for a subtle nod to the past. With fantastic walkability to boutiques, bars, and eateries, it’s well-known for sake and sushi favorites like Sushi Den, addictive yoga and fitness studios like Karma, and some of the city’s most raved about music scenes like the iconic Herman’s Hideaway.

A favorite local farmers market. There’s a vegetable stand $10 for a 5 gallon bag of fresh vegetables.
(9am-1pm). Lots of roasted green chilis, fresh mushrooms, breakfast, and lunch options (Mexican, Polish, American, Middle Eastern), popcorn, flowers, CBD lotions and oils, fresh seafood and local meat, fruits and vegetables. Come both for the food and to people watch. Dog bowls everywhere throughout market. Spring, summer, fall only.
