Book a trip in advance, catch one of the daily sailings to the Aran Islands - transfers available inter island, through one of the tour/sailing operator at the pier. Booking is highly recommended as it get very busy high season and it is best in order to avoid disappointment. Optional extra on some of the sailing is the cliff tour, if you have time take this option as the views of the cliffs from the sea are spectacular, well worth it!!!
