My adult children grew on this historic New Smyrna Beach. Our family are at odds; which beach is better? Both are local favorites. You be the judge! Daytona Beach or NSB (locals nickname for New Smyrna Beach).

Just 10 minutes north. A different vibe from our beach. The beach here is wider and flatter, and you can drive and park on the beach for a fee. They sometimes have beach 5K run/walk events, which are a lot of fun.

Located next to one of the most popular beach access ramps in Volusia County, Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park becomes a hub activity from sunrise and into the night. Early risers enjoy coffee by the beach. Later in the day, picnickers dine under the pavilion. Amenities include a pavilion, a brick courtyard with new stainless steel railing, restrooms, showers and off-beach parking. The park is at the east end of Flagler Avenue. Overnight parking is not permitted.
