Fabulous West African food. A hole-in-the-wall place close by with great ambiance and which is friendly to carnivores and vegetarians alike. Best beignets I've ever had, though you may also be tempted by their assortment of wonderful cakes. Owner is super-friendly.

Mansa Kunda offers some delicious traditional West African food. It’s about a 15 minute walk in the opposite direction from downtown Takoma past the Adventist hospital. Check out the Bird Calls Phone outside the restaurant. It’s a former pay phone that now plays bird calls by local bird species.

Located in Takoma Park, Mansa is a great vibe with really great African cuisine. Also a nice wine bar. Good for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or an early dinner.
