The Royal Mile è il nome popolare per una successione di strade che tagliano la città vecchia di Edimburgo e collega il Castello all'Holyrood Palace. Come dice il nome, il Royal mile è una strada che taglia in due la vecchia città e collega i due monumenti più importanti di Edimburgo.

The Royal Mile is the street leading up to the castle, and is a standard tourist spot. Lots of museums, restaurants, and gift options are in the area.

Edinburgh Castle. Holyrood Palace. Princes Street Gardens. St Giles Cathedral. Scott Monument. Greyfriars Bobby. Writers Museum Advocate Close Clarinda`s tea room Victoria Street I recommend you take a ticket and visit the Mary King´s Close. They are open again

Best thing you can do is take a stroll the one mile from the Castle down to Holyrood Palace

Take time to walk along the Royal Mile. One end is the Castle, the other end is Holyrood Palace. The mile is full of shops and pubs - you could spend a whole afternoon walking along it!
