Hemisfair was home to the World Fair in 1968. It now serves as a community space, featuring a large park, a walking trail, many beautiful water features, the Tower of the Americas, a mini water park and many restaurants. Entry to this these parks are free (excluding the tower)
It's a vibrant park that has plenty of culture and activities for residents and families alike.
Former 1968 worlds fair site, with new restaurants and amazing playground for kids
Hemisfair Park and Yanaguana Gardens are just south of the Alamo downtown. Beautiful playground for the kids and some dining options in the park. This is one of the few parks in San Antonio where open containers are allowed in the park. No glass though!
