This surf beach is patrolled over the summer months by surf life savers. Beautiful clean beach. Ideal for families. Get a hamburger from the local take-away cafe across the road. They are the best for miles

A short stroll down the old boat ramp to this great beach for swimming, diving and those wanting to get away from the surf. With a unique swimming hole cut into the rocks and plenty to explore, this is a great beach for all ages.

There are 3 beaches at Cape - the bay beach is really safe and calm so perfect for little kids, SUPs and it is known for good snorkelling. It also has a man made swimming/ rock pool that the kids absolutely love, good fishing and discovering what lies underneath all those rocks!

Five minutes south-east of Bass Coast’s main business hub Wonthaggi, Cape Paterson is a haven for families in summer. The beaches come alive with sand castles, boogie boards and ball games during the hot summer months. Snorkelling at the main beach allows you a glimpse into the underwater world. Also at the main beach is the popular ocean swimming pool (rock pool) which was built in the 1960’s. The rock pool is great to play in, can sometimes be underwater depending on the tide. This is favourite must visit place of ours during summer.
