My favorite bike path covers 21 miles between the towns of Banks and Vernonia. It runs through idyllic farmland and the lush forests of Stub Stewart State Park. The gentle slope and paved path is an easy ride except for one steep hill where the train trestle burned down long ago. A regular rider can do the 42 mile round trip in a few hours, but why not stop in Vernonia for lunch and a drink halfway through?

Incredible trail for horseback riders, bikes, walkers or hikers. Paved trail from Vernonia to Banks which is about 21 miles. The terrain is easy to medium ability and you travel thru wooded areas that are beautiful.

This is a close trail that goes along the train tracks. Very nice paved trail that also has little off chutes that you can explore as well. Also great for biking, you will see a large amount of bikers on this trail.
