The RSPB information centre holds regular events throughout the year, from guided walks and building bug hotels to lambing on the farm and Easter egg hunts. You can also find three bird hides spotted around the lake where you can spot siskin, great tit, cold tit, nuthatch, green finch, rare spotted woodpecker and even peregrine falcons.

This location makes a pleasant day trip. Walk or cycle around the lake (bicycle hire available) or take food to share at one of the picnic sites. Watch a variety of birds from the RSPB observation shelter.
