The Sea Lion Center is a hub for all things sea lion, including interactive displays, educational videos and many fascinating presentations. Kids love it!

Place to watch and learn about the sea lions that hang out at the piers. Free. It's at Pier 39, which is pretty touristy and trashy but sometimes has some good attractions. Nearby you can get crab in season at a number of places along Jefferson Street.

The only reason to go to Pier 39. I could watch the Sea Lions all day. West side of Pier 39. Avoid the rest of Pier 39 and DON'T EAT THERE.
