The entrance to the Kitekite falls walking track is at the end of the road. The track is pretty popular and can get very busy in the weekends and public holidays. If you are going to walk it on one of these days, I’d highly recommend going early, enjoying the peace and avoiding the crowds. Once…

Near Phia. If you are travelling out there this is a MUST visit. Lovely waterfalls and views.

A fairly flat walk to one of Aucklands most popular waterfalls. (roughly 40mins)

Lovely walk through the bush ending at a waterfall with swimming hole - gentle walk - just a bit of a challenge at the end. Look for signposting right by RSA before you get to Piha beach

A few steps, moderate walk. You can swim in the pools if you get hot on the walk there.

“You will go on a journey on a journey of discovery through New Zealand’s largest city. Travel directly through the streets of Auckland on one of their red buses, relax, enjoy exploring the city with ease and at your own pace. Surrounded by water and more boats per capita than anywhere else in the world, soak up the sweet salty smell of sea air surrounding you as you take in the views from the open top of the unique red double-decker on the Central Tour. Whether you’re an animal lover wanting to visit the zoo, a thrill seeker set to explore the heights of the Sky Tower, or simply looking for Auckland’s hottest shopping spots, this tour will allow you to Hop on and hop off at your leisure.”

“For sweeping views of Auckland, you must first climb to the top of One Tree Hill. It is a great way to loosen those legs off and get some exercise.”

“Our favourite west coast beach. The picturesque black sand beach was famously featured in Jane Campion's The Piano. Bring shoes - the sand get very hot and its a walk to the water. Swimmers are advised to only swim between the flags. We only recommend swimming here if you are a confidant swimmer. Be sure to look out for a map to Karekare waterfall, known by the Kawerau people as ‘Te Ahoaho' or ‘pendulous white thread', is nestled a short walk from the main beach arrival area.”

“Great for a quick coffee! Just grab a Mocha and an Almond Croissant, then cross the street over to the Saint Mary's Church. There are hidden benches to enjoy the sun, the view from Auckland's largest cathedral while birds singing all around you :)”
