A nearby short, circular walk. Formally the site of an old hill fort, it has the most spectacular views on a fine day, taking in the North Coast, the Cornish Alps and Bodmin Moor. Walk around it twice for a 20 minute walk. Cut through for a map which explains what you can see in the view.

Castle an Dinas is an Iron Age hillfort at the summit of Castle Downs near St Columb Major in Cornwall, UK and is considered one of the most important hillforts in the southwest of Britain. Castle-an-Dinas is one of the largest and most impressive hillforts in Cornwall. Its position on the summit of Castle Downs means that it has extensive and panoramic views across central Cornwall to both north and south coasts. It features in Cornish legend as one of the seats of the Duke of Cornwall and folklore has it that Cador, Duke of Cornwall, and Ygraine, King Arthur’s mother were killed here.
