Great little beach and one of the closest nearby. Has a beginners break so maybe you want to give surfing a try here?

Playa Remanso is a small beautiful bay just 15 minutes south of the center of San Juan. On a clear day at Playa Remanso you can see the mountains of Costa Rica which are less than fifteen miles away. Playa Remanso is a great beach for beginner surfers. Here you’ll find a handful of beach bar restaurants. Each of them offer some seating in the shade, fresh fruit smoothies, cold beer and simple food like fish tacos and chicken nachos. Our favorite places to hang at Playa Remanso are Santos Surf Bar or Bokana Bar.

Cute, smaller beach away from the scene. A great time to experiment with surfing, or spend a day reading a book basking in the beauty of this more chilled out beach scene. Food, beverage and surf boards available on-site.

You just can’t go to San Juan Del Sur without at least trying to surf. Playa El Remanso is known for being the perfect beach for surfing, as it has a few incredible waves. During the day you can see the amazing landscape and also you can see about 15 miles away the beautiful mountains of the neighboring country of Costa Rica.
