View one of the most unique landscapes on the eastern seaboard; great viewing spot for Bald Eagles, Osprey, and many shorebirds, overwintering diving ducks, cormorants and occasionally a pelican!

To truly feel what we as locals take in on a daily basis - part of our heritage, lifestyle and being is from these surroundings that have blessed us with an abundant life even in times of need. Seemingly Empty - Secretly Filled.

A beautiful place to visit! The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1933 as a waterfowl sanctuary for birds migrating along the critical migration highway called the Atlantic Flyway.
