With a signature dish named “Fillet Fantastique” ($45), you know Foster’s Steakhouse isn’t even going to try to be modest. And why should they? They’ve been in the game since the ’60s, offering classic English steaks and letting the quality cuts speak for themselves, rather than drowning the meat in sauce. Their signature dish however, isn’t completely unembellished – the prime fillet comes on a bed of fried onions and topped with field button mushrooms, served with a side of garden vegetables.
