Botanic Gardens are lovely for kids and adults. Kids love the Children's fantasy garden, the toy trains, the bugarium, the petting zoo and more. ~ 52 acres with 1.5 miles of walking paths and 10,000 sq. ft. glass conservatory. Well worth a visit. The aquarium has a uniquely local flavor which tells the story of the Rio Grande River’s journey to the Gulf of Mexico. Also features an 85,000 gal. shark tank with 38 ft. wide viewing window. Take a train between the aquarium / botanic gardens and the zoo.

The Albuquerque Bio Park includes the zoo, aquarium, and botanic gardens. They are all excellent and a great outing for families. Check for outdoor concerts in the summer months!

A short day trip to the botanical gardens will do the trick! You can even ride the train over to the zoo!
