last castle to be built in England , beautiful granite house designed by Lutyens and Beautiful gardens overlooking the impressive fingle gorge ,take 2nd turning off the A30 as it is less lanes

Set on the edge of Dartmoor Castle Drogo commands some fantastic views, and then of course there's Fingle Bridge nearby with wonderful woodland walks.

Castle Drogo is the last castle to be built in England. Owned by the National Trust it has been undergoing extensive renovations. Very dog friendly.
