This is the main swimming beach in Anglesea - very popular among travellers and locals alike. It's also quite safe due to being patrolled in peak times. Main Beach is a great place to learn to surf, swim, or simply relax. Anglesea, Great Ocean Road

Anglesea Main Beach is located at the mouth of the river. There are good waves here for surfing. It is located within walking distance to Anglesea town with easy access to the surf shops to hire any equipment. Again, there is good parking but is very busy during peak times. There is always lots going on at this beach.
