Another trail accessed from Teton Canyon. This hike is a favorite among many locals. Whether taking advantage of wonderful backcountry camping or simply going out for a long day hike or run you will find the trail incredibly scenic. This is a 15 mile roundtrip, heavily trafficked hike with plenty elevation gain. Doing this as a day hike will require a full day.

An easy to moderate hike with beautiful views, a river, and wild flowers.

Some of my very favorite hikes start at the Alaska Basin trailhead. The trail branches to other trails and has hikes for a variety of skill levels. I have gone with young children and just hiked/walked a mile in and then walked back.

Canyon after canyon on the west side of the Tetons offers great trails for a family hike or a multi day backpack. Make sure to wander up Teton Canyon towards Alaska Basin, where the trail eventually meets up with Grand Teton National Park.
