This is a free hiking trail located across from Ingles grocery store on Hwy 9. There are a few trails and some loop with mostly easy to intermediate hiking so it's fun for novice or experienced.

While there are lots of hiking options around Lake Lure, Donald Ross Nature Park is a great one for younger kids. It’s surrounded by nature, the trails are well maintained and easy to moderate.
