Beautiful garden is a must see. Best to buy tickets in advance. Plan to also see the International Rose Garden in the same trip, which is adjacent to the Japanese garden.

A visit to Portland isn't complete without a visit to Forest Park. There are many entrances and they are all great. The trails off Cornell Road near Macleay Park are the most popular and can be very busy when the weather is good. Hiking from Cornell up to Pittock mansion is a great choice if you only have time for one. Don't miss the view in the garden at Pittock Mansion! Lower Macleay is great too and can be accessed from the stairs at the Thurman bridge just past 29th Ave.

The trails off Cornell Road near Macleay Park are the most popular and can be very busy when the weather is good. Hiking from Cornell up to Pittock mansion is a great choice if you only have time for one. Don't miss the view in the garden at Pittock Mansion!
