Walk amongst the native banksia to secluded beaches and ancient Aborginal Archaeological sites
A hidden piece of paradise. You'll find secluded beaches for swimming, snorkling and fishing. A boat ramp for those of you with the need for access. An Aboriginal cave and for the fitter folk among us you will find some of the best hikes in the world offering 360 degree views of coastline, bush and farmland. Spectacular!!
Beautiful spot to walk, and take in the view - from Rocky Cape end or Sisters Beach end, or from one end to the other. Swim at one of the amazing little swimming spots, if the weather is warm.
Visit Rocky Cape National Park, which is known as Tangdimmaa to the Aboriginal people, where you can go for some short walks to Aboriginal caves or a longer walk on the Postman's Track through to Sisters Beach. For experienced Rock climbers there are also some Rock climbing opportunities and you can find information online by searching for the Tasmanian climbing guide. There are 2 boat ramps for all weather, the western ramp has no jetty, is a beach between rocks & will need a 4x4 to launch boats over 4 meters. SS Southern Cross is a wreck for diving off Rocky Cape, excellent fishing & snorkeling spots and the rocky beaches are interesting to explore. You will need a National parks pass to visit this area and you may obtain this at the Rocky cape Roadhouse local shop on the corner of Bass Highway & Port Road.
