Named from the Cold War era although never really used for defense. Take warm clothes and a flashlight.

It’s a fun destination but the dirt road can be a little rough depending on the car that you have. Be sure to bring a flashlight for each person and a coat. Even if it’s the middle of summer. At the end of the cave turn off your lights and watch parts of the wall glow :) Keep in mind that the cave terrain is pretty rough and may not be fun for some.

This is in the middle of the desert! This is one of the most famous caves in all of the US. You must go prepared and the road to the caves are in fact on desert roads!
