One of my all time favorites. This is a small restaurant that does a set menu that changes every week, bookings are a must.

Authentic Italian, literally around the corner in their brand new & renovated restaurant on Watt Street. The owners were inspired by trips to Italy and particularly a family run trattoria with no printed menu just a small list of what was cooking that day. The emphasis was always on the customers, enjoying good, fresh, local rustic food and wine, which is what they have created for us here in Newcastle. Wednesday to Saturday nights. Must book in advance.

Incredible Italian cuisine. Una Volta offers a set 5 course menu at a very reasonable price for the quality of the food. Their gnocchi is the best you'll have anywhere! Make sure to book ahead though, it only seats a few!
