Beautiful place to visit with stunning scenery, on the edge of Coniston Lake serving excellent food. A spacious terrace outside where you can eat outside. A photographers dream Lovely gardens to walk around and art gallery. I recommend a visit.

Home of the victorian social thinker John Ruskin and a cafe with the best view of Coniston Water and the Old Man. In our view best place for a lake view, light lunch, tea and cakes on Coniston Water. You could hire a boat/canoe from Coniston Centre or hop on the Coniston Launch, which can drop you off at the Brantwood Pontoon, short stroll from pontoon to house & cafe.
