Glen Canyon Dam is a sight to see and one you can't miss especially if you drive over the bridge overlooking it. It is one of the largest dam's in the world which made what is now Lake Powell. It is also the starting point of the Colorado River. The visitor center does daily tours of the Dam and has a great information center a lot like a little museum and gift shop. If it's about to pour down rain don't leave. Wait for it to pass to see some great waterfalls.

A must. Incredible views of the Glen Canyon Dam with wonderful displays and historic information.

This is a great place for tourest info as well as one of the best SOUVENIR shops around. A lot of hands on exhibits about how the dam was built and what it does for our energy in many states. A huge window to look down at the dam as it overhangs the edge. The hours of operation are not abundant, early evening closure.
