Opening near us summer 2019 historic Bob Baker Marionette Theater will bring its 3000 puppets, endless ice cream, boundless imagination, and love for its Los Angeles community to our neighbourhood. We took our kids here as toddlers for their first theatrical experience
Iconic marionette puppet place -- adults will still love shows here, they're i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e and this place has so much charm it might actually kill you. Kids will love this too, and it will not kill them! This spot is moving to Highland Park, so google it before you book tickets.
Yes it's a childrens marionette theater but it's pure magic and I absolutely love and recommend it for everyone.
The Bob Baker Marionette Theater, founded by Bob Baker and Alton Wood in 1963, is the oldest children's theater company in Los Angeles. In June 2009, the theater was designated as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. It's a great place to see wonderfully kitschy and retro marionette shows.
