Brauron - History says that the small town of Brauron (Vravrona) belonged to the mythical King Cecrops, the founder of Athens. It is an interesting place to go, not only for its nice beaches and creeks but also to pay a visit to the sanctuary of Artemis.

Vravrona Beach: Take Vravrona Avenue, past the Temple of Artemis and on the drive towards Loutsa and you will find Vravrona Beach. History says that the small town of Vravrona belonged to the mythical King Cecrops, the founder of Athens. It is an interesting place to go, not only for its nice beaches and creeks but also to pay a visit to the sanctuary of Artemis. This beach is great for kids because it is relatively shallow for quite a way into the waters. There are no restaurants or cafes located at the beach - just a small kiosk. However, after your swim, continue on (away from the direction of Loutsa) and you will come to a Cafe-Bar called Nisos which is well worth a visit.
