American River Trail can be walked, run or biked. It goes for approximately 35 miles and is only has a few areas that are moderately difficult to bike (slight hills). It's a great place to start or end your day with a stroll down a place that offers some of the best views possible.

Grab a bike and follow the bike/pedestrian trail. Best way to go is through East Sac along M street and ultimately cut-through Sac state. A scaled version of the Golden Gate Bridge crosses the river from the University and puts right on the trail. Go east for 20ish miles to Folsom, or west for…

The eggplant parm. is excellent. Around the corner from Tower Theatre and Cafe. Just a 20 min. walk down Land Park Drive”

“Hop on board a party-bike for a 2-hour tour of Sacramento's best brewpubs. Sip craft beers, eat great food and have fun in between stops as you pedal the party bike to three destinations. Listen to music, talk with the other passengers and learn from an insider about the bar scene in Sacramento. Your knowledgeable and entertaining guide ensures a great experience in the California state capital as you ride around Midtown and sample the best bites and drinks in town.”

“The name may sound generic, but dining here is an experience unlike any other. Since opening in 1991, The Kitchen has felt like a party from start to finish, hosted by the talented Chef Kelly McCown. Diners (celebrants are inevitably included) are encouraged to get up and walk around, maybe even peek into the kitchen to chat up the cooks. ”

“Sacramento is flush with beer. Try New Helvetia, named for the city’s original moniker. The brewery has a neighborhood feel, complete with backyard picnic tables, a devoted running club and a resident mascot dog named Moose (there’s a session I.P.A. named in his honor). ”
