Maybe you've noticed some of our postal-themed décor in the Airbnb -- a lot of it is inspired by this gem of a museum! Located next to Union Station, this quirky spot features engaging, interactive exhibitions without the crowds normally seen on The Mall.
This museum is really close by and really kid friendly and never add crowded as the other Smithsonians.
The National Postal Museum, located opposite Union Station in Washington, D.C., United States, was established through joint agreement between the United States Postal Service and the Smithsonian Institution and opened in 1993.
Right next door to Union Station - which is also worth seeing - the Postal Museum illustrates our interesting US history thru the lens of the Postal Service.
This Smithsonian museum is a little off the beaten path. It is right off the Union Station metro.
