Empress Hotel National Historic Site of Canada - take a walk, snap some shots, have some high tea
When visiting downtown, a stop at the Empress is a must. Have High Tea and explore the grounds. Walk the Inner Harbour to the Legislature. Lots to see and do!
Visit the Inner Harbour for sightseeing and water taxi ballet in the summer months. Drive down Dallas Rd. to see beautiful views of the Olympic Mt range.
An iconic and majestic hotel downtown. Wander inside and perhaps indulge in their expensive but elegant high tea.
The Empress Hotel is a historical building and is as beautiful as it is old. Check out the empress tea room too :)
Lots of people like afternoon tea at The Empress, but you can wonder around for free if you'd rather just check it out
Take a walk along the Inner harbour, check out the buskers and maybe have a cocktail in the historic Empress Hotel.
The Empress, is one of the oldest hotels (built in 1908) in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The hotel was designed by Francis Rattenbury. High tea at the Empress “rivals the best in the world.”
"THE" Empress, this is the classic grand dam of downtown Victoria. Whether you are looking for high tea, a classy cocktail, high-end shopping, or just a tour of a historic building, the Empress is definitely worth a visit.
I really like this place because it's said this is where Queen Elizabeth II stays when she visits. You can enjoy some high tea in the tea room, or perhaps stay a night in the hotel! Not budget friendly..
The historic Empress hotel is not to be missed. Located right in the heart of the inner harbour.

“Wonderful huge park situated on the edge of downtown Victoria surrounded by the funky historic neighbourhood of James Bay with many fine restaurants, pubs and more and on the other side of the park boarded by Cook St. village more yet more restaurants, bakery, pub and a fabulous walkable neighbourhood. At the southern end of Beacon Hill Park is the almost endless coast walk. You can walk in either direction and follow the coast to Fishermans wharf, the Parliament Buildings, The Empress and downtown. Or go in the opposite direction and follow Dallas Rd along the famous Victoria Marathon route to King Edward Terrace and eventually Beach Drive with so many historic sites along the way. ”

“Take a little sea bus trip from Victoria's downtown inner harbour to tiny Fisherman's Wharf. It is also an easy walk from the inner harbour. Have a delicious lunch and one of the many food vendors there and marvel at the charming houseboats.”
