The Goffs is a bit more of a restaurant and bar than a pub but no worse for it. It does a very good, all day, modern menu, and its slight lack of character is offset by its ease and reliability. I know the pub has been here for a while, but the oak tree in the front garden is the oak after which Goffs Oak is named... actually, it is a replacement for the oak, which came down sometime in the 50s (I think!).
