Poco a poco los ‘skaters’ le están robando el nombre a la plaza, pero no le restan protagonismo al Macba, el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona. Se trata de un impresionante edificio con un gran ventanal y que combina las líneas rectas con los cilindros, obra del arquitecto estadounidense Richard Meier. Desde que se inaugurara, en 1995, el Macba se ha ganado el primer puesto en la lista de instituciones que difunden el arte y las prácticas culturales contemporáneas. A mediados de 2019 abrió el Café Chichalimoná, donde podréis comer algo prácticamente en a cualquier hora. ¡Además, los sábados por la tarde lo podéis visitar gratis! It is an impressive building with a large window that combines straight lines with cylinders, designed by American architect Richard Meier. Since its inauguration in 1995, the Macba has earned first place in the list of institutions that disseminate art and contemporary cultural practices. In mid 2019, the Café Chichalimoná opened, where you can have a bite to eat at almost any time, and on Saturday afternoons you can visit it for free! Si tratta di un edificio imponente con una grande finestra che combina linee rette con cilindri, progettato dall'architetto americano Richard Meier. Dalla sua inaugurazione nel 1995, il Macba si è guadagnato il primo posto nella lista delle istituzioni che diffondono arte e pratiche culturali contemporanee. A metà del 2019 ha aperto il Café Chichalimoná, dove si può mangiare un boccone a qualsiasi ora, e il sabato pomeriggio si può visitare gratuitamente!

If you like modern art, MACBA is your museum. Also, don't forget to sit in a terrace next to the museum and enjoy the ambiance there! Tip: this museum is free every Saturday after 4pm!

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona is full of modern art inside, and gathers a lot of expectation at the surroundings as it is often a place of cult and gathering by skateboarders and hipsters, since the smooth lines of the surrounding architecture allow for performing tricks.
