$$$ It's a drive, but we love this place for the reliable California fare, the open bottle policy (no corkage fee), the service, and the atmosphere. Call for reservations as it fills up quickly. If you can get reservations, you can try grabbing a seat or two at the bar, where they serve food as well.

Great steakhouse! I heard Steve Jobs loved it, too. Blackened ribeye steak, grilled artichoke, and kale salad are my must-have menu items. I heard from a friend once saw President Bill Clinton having a late dinner there during the time his daughter was attending Stanford University.

Excellent roast chicken, grilled on the spot over charcoal. Can be quite crowded and you may want to call in advance.
