This historic railroad began in 1890, when Dr. William Seward Webb, a medical doctor, financed its construction. It was built in the wilderness of the Adirondacks and was completed in just 18 months. More than a hundred years later, a group of devoted rail enthusiasts started restoring it after it was dormant for decades.
