Serving French food in one of the most central, downtown locations, this is a great spot to take friends or out of town visitors. Le Politique is one of the most stunningly gorgeous restaurants in the entire city with some of the best breakfast and brunch in Austin. The eggs benedict is perfect for any occasion but if you’re feeling adventurous try the Galette Norvégienne. The burger at Le Polotique has nice flavor and although it’s not on our list of best burgers in Austin it’s definitely an honorable mention. And whatever you do order one (or five) of the chocolate croissants. You have never had a pastry so truly sublime.

Stroll 2nd Street District and stop in at Le Politique for late night French food, or pop into the French bakery mid-day while shopping in the great shops along 2nd street in the middle of tall the new downtown high rises. Easy Uber ride or inexpensive parking in the City Hall parking garage.
