Like I said, I'm a book loving nerd. This library is tucked away in the middle of broad live oak trees in the center of the island. It is cozy, a little dim and mysterious, and staffed with the quirkiest and friendliest folks. They keep a running gallery of local artists, and there is a second hand book shop for discarded or donated books. It benefits the library! There are computers available and a good selection of media to choose from. If you are a Carteret County local, you should pick up a good read!
