Dip Falls is situated in a remote region of North-West Tasmania in the Dip River Forest Reserve, along the Dip River. Access to the waterfall is mostly sealed road from the Bass Highway, turning southwards along country roads, with the last few kilometres of unsealed track.
If you love waterfalls, Dip Falls are spectacular, especially after heavy rains. There's a stairway built down beside them for easy viewing all the way down.
A great place to go and experience the quiet of the wet Eucalypt forest and the spectacular falls, but my favorite thing to see is the Big Tree. An ancient, stringy bark standing 62m tall with a 16m girth, it has been there for around 400 years. Local and interstate Firefighters fought hard to save this beauty in the 2016 bush fires. If you love nature like me it is definitely worth a visit.
