Go down to the ferry terminal on commercial street and jump on the next ferry to Peaks island. Take your bike and you can ride around the shore drive for a beautiful ocean view.

Peaks Island is a 20 min ferry ride from downtown. Great place to rent bikes or walk around and enjoy the views.

If you want to explore some of the island's around Maine, the Casco Bay Ferry lines is the way to do it. The ferry goes to several nearby islands, including Peak's Island. The Peak's Island ferry is the busiest, and has the most ferries. Peak's island is fun to walk, or bike around, or rent a golf cart to tour. The island is small enough to get around in a day, and has some really great lookout points and restaurants.

Peak's Island is definitely worth visiting. Rent bikes or a golf cart and check out the military forts and beaches.
