Caviar & smoked salmon- Shop & restaurant ---- Founded in 1920, this boutique tells the story of the Petrossian family, who introduced Paris to the delights of caviar and other exceptional Russian food products. Forced to flee their country following outbreaks of violence in 1915 and 1917 in their native Caucasia and throughout Russia, these two brothers succeeded in making caviar a coveted and luxurious food product in France. During the 1920s, Melkoum and Mouchegh Petrossian, of Armenian ancestry, established Caviar Petrossian, a company which is still the largest buyer and importer of caviar in the world.
