A must see if you're in the area! Within the National Forest is the protected area of Sipsey Wilderness. Many trails and sites including, "The Big Tree". There are quite a few rules about hiking and camping in Sipsey so make sure you read up before you go! Local favorite hikes: Sipsey Big Tree and Sipsey Trail 206 to Needles Eye. Great trails for all levels of expertise. Some of the trails lead to waterfalls, others circle back thru nature.
