This is a great hike leading to a few beautiful mountain lakes. It is a perfect half-day hike and is generally pretty easy but be warned that the last bit is steep, and you are at fairly high elevation. To get to the trailhead, drive west onto Highway 64 from the junction of highway 191 and travel approximately 9-10 miles. Continue until the end taking a right immediately before the Moonlight Basin gate onto Beehive Basin Road. Follow this windy road for two miles to the parking area and trailhead.

Closes trail to the hotel. 90 minutes one way to a gorgeous lake nestled withing a bowl. Pretty tough, so make sure you're acclimated to the elevation prior to conquering. Bear spray recommended.

Our favorite hike in all BS. Be sure to pack bear spray (available at sporting good stores) to be safe.

This is the best hike in Big Sky in the summer. It's well known, and thus busy, but it's amazing. A great trail run too.

Amazing long local hike. Please be bear aware, and take water and sunscreen (and some snacks). The top is a beautiful high mountain pond, and grassy area.
