Con i suoi 3087 metri , e' la montagna piu' alta dei Caraibi. Si possono fare escursioni di qualsiasi tipo, da un giorno fino ad una settimana di camminata per raggiungere la vetta con calma. Unico posto dei Caraibi dove, in inverno, a volte nevica!!!!

For all you nature lovers who love to hike... We have the highest peak in the Caribbean at 10k ft. It even snows here in the winters.

It is the highest mountain in the caribbean! See if you are up to the challenge of climbining it in 2 nights and 3 days. there are 2 tour groups that offer guides/mules/food/house- complete package.

Pico Duarte is the highest mountain in the Caribbean. It is 3,087 meters above sea level. Trails to reach Pico Duarte: You have a few routes available to climb Pico Duarte and it usually takes two to three travel days to reach the top. Most tours depart from Jarabacoa.

At a height of 3,087 meters (10,178 feet), Pico Duarte is the tallest mountain in the Caribbean. Part of the Armando Bermudez National Park, the mountain is one of the most popular natural attractions for both Dominicans and visitors to the Dominican Republic. According to locals, there are at least 5 known hiking routes that lead to Pico Duarte. The most popular one is La Ciénaga which usually takes 2-3 days and is about 23 kilometers of hiking. This is also the quickest and thus the most trotted trail.
