About 15 minutes away, Ginnie Springs is a great place to go swimming, it offers 3 different springs where you can swim in. You can have a nice BBQ and BYOB here. Also can rent a tube and float down the river.

beautiful river located 2 hours from Casita, has barbecue grills, picnic grass, camping area, fresh and relaxing water. you can snorkel, you must be careful to swim in these waters and it is because of the depth. The river has 3 water tanks or pools that have no current, they are very beautiful, but I especially recommend you to go to the center. Life jacket rental is free, do not hesitate to request one per person.

24 minutes by car from Riverside Folkhouse, Ginnie Springs is a world famous spot for cave diving and you can pay local diving instructors to take you diving there. Ginnie boasts several beautiful high magnitude springs. Our favorite way to visit these springs is by boat on the Santa Fe River, but you can also pay to visit for a day by car. Be warned the day fee is a bit pricey.
