You can enjoy the lake. There is a beach for the residents of lake, you included, fire minutes walk away. Just follow the road around the lake hte way you came in. The sand is mixed in with some silt, but children generally enjoy it. The water is gently shelving for quite a while but it then becomes deep so please watch your children if they can't swim.
